• English language course for I.T. professionals.
      Upper intermediate Level (B2-CEFR)

          This unique course is intended for I.T. professionals who need, or wish, to improve their language and communications skills in English and ensure better business interactions in their work and, thus, ensure access to better job opportunities at an international scale.

          The 100-hour-long, online-course is aimed at engineers performing in any of the roles or jobs in the I.T. industry; with the following contents:
      Effective communication in today´s workplace,
      Dealing with job interviews both: HHRR and technical stages,

    • Participating in meetings: in person and teleconferencing,
    • Sharing ideas for solving problems,
    • Developing effective speaking skills,
    • Persuading others,
    • Participation in social media for professional purposes,
    • Collaborating with others for problem-solving,
    • Realistic case-study analysis, discussion, and resolution.

    This language course is intended to resolve and eliminate common language barriers and increase significantly the participants’ overall language proficiency in terms of:

  • General competences,
  • Communicative language competences,
  • Communicative language activities,
  • Communicative language strategies, and
  • Learning strategies.

    The general approach considers the student as the centre of the process and aims at learning, rather than at teaching. Participants are encouraged to discover, construct and socio-construct their own learning and knowledge; and develop their own learning and communication strategies.

    The methodology is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Teaching-Learning-Assessment, follows the best-practices model of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK), and the case-study model created by the Harvard Business School (HBS).

    Participants demonstrate great progress in a very short time and report that they feel very comfortable talking about topics that are relevant for them, such as: operating systems, platforms, frameworks, programming languages, methodologies, technical problems and experiences they face on a daily basis; in an atmosphere where they can develop their personal confidence, their speaking fluency and their precision.

    One of the additional positive side effects of this course is the noticeable improvement on the participants’ soft skills. So far, this course has been succesfully implemented with personnel working in various companies, in Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and Brazil, in different fields:

    • Computer science,

    The state-of-the-art online language lessons are delivered in small classes (10 participants max) in various schedule options;

  • Mon-Thu, either early in the morning before work, or in the evening after work, and/or

  • Saturday morning.
